3 SECRETS: PART 2 | BHAGAVAD GITA | HG GAURMANDAL DAS | HKM MUMBAI
Monday Aug 08, 2022
Monday Aug 08, 2022
The Bhagavad Gita is universally renowned as the jewel of India's spiritual wisdom. Spoken by Lord Krishna. The Gita's seven hundred concise verses provide a definitive guide to the science of self realization. No other philosophical or religious work reveals, in such a lucid and profound way, the nature of consciousness, the self, the universe and the Supreme. Every man is in difficulty in so many ways, as Arjuna also was in difficulty in having to fight the Battle of Kurukshetra. Arjuna surrendered unto Sri Krsna, and consequently this Bhagavad Gita was spoken. Then question comes up 🧐 What is the Bhagavad Gita? How to understand Bhagavad Gita? 🤔 The Bhagavad Gita is just like a cow, and Lord Krsna, who is a cowherd boy, is milking this cow. The milk is the essence of the Vedas, and Arjuna is just like a calf. The wise men, the great sages and pure devotees, are to drink the nectarean milk of Bhagavad Gita. DEITY WHO WAS A THIEF (SPECIAL SESSION) | HG SREESHA GOVIND DAS
Wednesday Aug 03, 2022
Wednesday Aug 03, 2022
The vigraha, the Deity of Kṛṣṇa, appears by Kṛṣṇa’s mercy. Because Kṛṣṇa is alakṣya, invisible, He becomes visible to give us the facility to see Him. It is not that Kṛṣṇa is stone, wood, or metal. Kṛṣṇa is always Kṛṣṇa, but because we cannot see anything beyond material elements like wood, stone, and metal, He appears one in a form made of these elements. Kṛṣṇa is everything, and therefore Kṛṣṇa is stone also, but He is not the kind of stone that cannot act. One should not think deity as stone. Svayam eva sphuraty adaḥ. The Deity, although apparently stone, may speak with a devotee. There are many instances in which this has happened where so-called stone has spoken, walked and even STOLEN for his devotees. Let us understand one such pastime of the Lord.

Saturday Jul 30, 2022
Materialists think that sexual indulgence is the greatest happiness in this material world, and therefore they make elaborate plans to satisfy their senses, especially the genitals. This is generally found everywhere, and specifically found in the Western world, where there are regular arrangements to satisfy sex life in different ways. Actually, however, this has not made anyone happy. The human form of life is a great asset, for in this life one can fulfill the goal of existence. Unfortunately, however, because of a lack of education and culture, people are victimized by the false happiness of sex life.

3 SECRETS | BHAGAVAD GITA | HG GAURMANDAL DAS | HKM MUMBAI

What is the Bhagavad Gita? The purpose of Bhagavad Gita is to deliver mankind from the nescience of material existence. Every man is in difficulty in so many ways, as Arjuna also was in difficulty in having to fight the Battle of Kurukshetra. Arjuna surrendered unto Sri Krsna, and consequently this Bhagavad Gita was spoken. Not only Arjuna, but every one of us is full of anxieties because of this material existence. Our very existence is in the atmosphere of nonexistence. Out of so many human beings who are suffering, there are a few who are actually inquiring about their position, as to what they are, why they are put into this awkward position and so on. Unless one is awakened to this position of questioning his suffering, unless he realizes that he doesn't want suffering but rather wants to make a solution to all sufferings, then one is not to be considered a perfect human being. Humanity begins when this sort of inquiry is awakened in one's mind. In the Brahma-sutra this inquiry is called "brahma-jijnasa." Every activity of the human being is to be considered a failure unless he inquires about the nature of the Absolute. Therefore those who begin to question why they are suffering or where they came from and where they shall go after death are proper students for understanding Bhagavad Gita. For them it again raises a question : How to understand the secrets of Bhagavad Gita. So, in today’s video it is to be discussed : 3 Secrets to understand the mystery of Srimad Bhagavad Gita. One cleanses himself daily by taking a bath in water, but one who takes his bath only once in the sacred Ganges water of the Bhagavad Gita cleanses away all the dirt of material life. Because Bhagavad Gita is spoken by the Supreme Personality of Godhead, one need not read any other Vedic literature. One need only attentively and regularly hear and read Bhagavad Gita. In the present age, mankind is so absorbed with mundane activities that it is not possible to read all of the Vedic literature. But this is not necessary. This one book, Bhagavad Gita, will suffice because it is the essence of all Vedic literatures and because it is spoken by the Supreme Personality of Godhead. It is said that one who drinks the water of the Ganges certainly gets salvation, but what to speak of one who drinks the waters of Bhagavad Gita? The Bhagavad Gita is just like a cow, and Lord Krsna, who is a cowherd boy, is milking this cow. The milk is the essence of the Vedas, and Arjuna is just like a calf. The wise men, the great sages and pure devotees, are to drink the nectarean milk of Bhagavad Gita.

Thursday Jul 21, 2022
Thursday Jul 21, 2022
While committing a sinful act, a person due to ignorance thinks that no one has witnessed his sinful activity. He is free to do whatever he likes. But the fact is that he is being witnessed by so many living entities at each and every step of his life which he himself cannot see. Nature's Laws are perfect. Nobody can escape these laws unless one takes complete shelter of the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
Lets us understand:
Who all are witnesses of our every single act?
What is the cause of sinful activities?
What is real atonement?

Wednesday Jul 20, 2022
Wednesday Jul 20, 2022
It is said that man is a rational animal. When the rationality is missing, then he is simply an animal, not a human being. It is expected from human beings to make relevant inquiries. There is certainly a great deal of comfort in the first-class coach of a train, but if the train does not move toward its destination, what is the benefit of an air-conditioned compartment? Contemporary civilization is much too concerned with making the material body comfortable. No one has information about the real destination of life. The result is even after having so many facilities we are DISTURBED.Let us understand:-What is the Root cause of this DISTURBANCE?- How to deal with it?- What is the solution?

Saturday Jul 16, 2022
Saturday Jul 16, 2022
Astrology is a science. Jyotir-veda. That is a part of the Vedas. If it is performed correctly, one can know his past, present and future life. The future of many famous personalities, including Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Srila Prabhupada, was already predicted when they were born, but Prabhupada once told that “As soon as you clap your hands in front of the Deities during ārati,” “All the lines of your palm are changed.” So here arises a question: Can an Astrologer really predict your future?

VEDAS SAY YES TO LUST? | VEDAS ENCOURAGE THIS | HG GAURMANDAL DAS | Q&A 05
Sunday Jul 03, 2022
Sunday Jul 03, 2022
Lust comes in different degrees. For those who are in the mode of goodness, their lust is of a different quality, for those who are in the mode of passion, their lust is of a different quality, and for those who are in the mode of ignorance, their lust is of a different quality. That is the question. Just like there are first-class prisoners, second-class prisoners, and third-class prisoners. They are prisoners, whether they are first-class, second-class, or third-class. That doesn't matter. As well, in this material world, someone may be extremely intelligent, wealthy, beautiful, and all the characteristics of the mode of goodness. Or somebody in passion and somebody in a lower degree, or even animal life. But they are all prisoners within this material world. And why they are prisoners that is because of lust One has to transcend this lust. One has to transcend even the so-called goodness of the material world which is again nothing but the lust of different quality. Just like Arjuna was trying to be a so-called good man in this material world. He was trying to avoid the injunction of Kṛṣṇa. Kṛṣṇa wanted him that "You should fight this Kurukṣetra battle," but he wanted to be a good man, so that is lust when we don't listen to Kṛṣṇa and act whimsically. So that fighting, when he was convinced of Kṛṣṇa's instruction, this Bhagavad-gītā, means he transcended even the goodness platform of this material world. So Kṛṣṇa is trying to raise him to the transcendental platform which is above all lusty tendency. Traiguṇya-viṣayā vedā Nistraiguṇyo bhavārjuna [Bhagavad-gita 2.45] [The Vedas mainly deal with the subject of the three modes of material nature. Rise above these modes, O Arjuna. Be transcendental to all of them. Be free from all dualities and from all anxieties for gain and safety, and be established in the Self.] This whole material atmosphere is surcharged with three modes of material nature. So one has to transcend the modes of material nature that is one has come out of this atmosphere of lust. Just like one should not try to become a first-class prisoner. In the prison house, if one is a third-class prisoner and one is a first-class prisoner, the third-class prisoner should not aspire that "Let me remain in this prison-house and become a first-class prisoner." That is not good. One should transcend the prison walls, or come out of the prison house. In the same way, this material world is a prison for living entities who want to satisfy their lust, and hence one should strive to become liberated from lust by following Kṛṣṇa Consciousness, which is the test to check which process of religion works best in conquering lust.

Gaudiya Vaishnava is a religious movement within Vaishnavism, one of the main Hindu schools of thought. It is also known as Chaitanya Vaishnavism as this movement originated with Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, who is an incarnation of Lord Sri Krishna. Worship of God in Gaudiya Vaishnavism is through Bhakti yoga or devotional service. The philosophy explains that the jiva (self or soul) is identical to God and at the same time different. This concept is called Achintya Bheda Abheda, or “inconceivable oneness and difference.” The human mind cannot understand this concept, but it can be experienced in Bhakti yoga.

LORD RAM BANISHES SITA | निर्दोष थे राम | HG GAURMANDAL DAS | Q&A 03
Friday Jul 01, 2022
Friday Jul 01, 2022
Ramayana is the pride of every Indian, the history which happened ages ago (Ramayana) is still as popular and as new as ever, and Shri Ram and Mother Sita are the life and soul of an Indian. Whenever it comes to an ideal government, the most appropriate example is Rama-Rajya. Although Lord Rama was an ideal King, Lord Ram left Sita. Why? In Bhagavad Puran (9.10.54) it is said: eka-patnī-vrata-dharo rājarṣi-caritaḥ śuciḥ sva-dharmaṁ gṛha-medhīyaṁ śikṣayan svayam ācarat Lord Rāmacandra took a vow to accept only one wife and have no connection with any other women. He was a saintly king, and everything in His character was good, untinged by qualities like anger. He taught good behavior for everyone, especially for householders, in terms of varṇāśrama-dharma. Thus He taught the general public by His personal activities. Everywhere Rama is glorified. Furthermore, it is said that during Rama’s reign the forests, the rivers, the hills and mountains, the states, the seven islands, and the seven seas were all favorable in supplying the necessities of life for all living beings. But how could such a magnanimous soul, Lord Rama exile Sita?

REAL FORM OF KRISHNA | HG GAURMANDAL DAS | Q&A 02
Thursday Jun 30, 2022
Thursday Jun 30, 2022
Krishna's complexion is as polished as a powdered eye ointment. It surpasses the beauty of a newly formed cloud and is softer than a blue lotus flower. Indeed, His complexion is so pleasing that it attracts the eyes and minds of everyone, and it is so powerful that it defies all comparison. [CC.AN.64] The luster of Kṛṣṇa’s body is more brilliant than that of a newly formed cloud, and His yellow dress is more attractive than newly arrived lightning. A peacock feather decorates His head, and on His neck hangs a lovely necklace of brilliant pearls. As He holds His charming flute to His lips, His face looks as beautiful as the full autumn moon. By such beauty, Madana-Mohana, the enchanter of Cupid, is increasing the desire of My eyes to see Him. [CC.AN.63]
DEDICATED TO
Srila Prabhupada
(Founder-Acharya of the Worldwide Hare Krishna Movement)
His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada came to New York in 1965 and in twelve short years made the chanting of 'Hare Krishna' known throughout the world. He started a spiritual revolution wherein devotion, simplicity and compassion became the direction for living. Coming from a lineage of self-realised teachers, Srila Prabhupada gave a fearless exposition of devotional wisdom which had been kept locked within India for centuries.
