TEN PATHS TO LIBERATION (SB 7.9.46) | HG SREESHA GOVIND DAS

The real purpose of human life is to attain liberation from material entanglement. Such liberation may be achieved by many methods, but all of them more or less depend on tapasya, austerity, which begins with celibacy. There are ten prescribed methods on the path to liberation. Those who have fully surrendered to the lotus feet of Lord Vāsudeva, Krishna, automatically achieve the results of all these methods. Let us understand in this session.

DEITY WHO WAS A THIEF (SPECIAL SESSION) | HG SREESHA GOVIND DAS

The vigraha, the Deity of Kṛṣṇa, appears by Kṛṣṇa’s mercy. Because Kṛṣṇa is alakṣya, invisible, He becomes visible to give us the facility to see Him. It is not that Kṛṣṇa is stone, wood, or metal. Kṛṣṇa is always Kṛṣṇa, but because we cannot see anything beyond material elements like wood, stone, and metal, He appears one in a form made of these elements. Kṛṣṇa is everything, and therefore Kṛṣṇa is stone also, but He is not the kind of stone that cannot act. One should not think deity as stone. Svayam eva sphuraty adaḥ. The Deity, although apparently stone, may speak with a devotee. There are many instances in which this has happened where so-called stone has spoken, walked and even STOLEN for his devotees. Let us understand one such pastime of the Lord.

Unfortunately, however, because of a lack of education and culture, people are victimized by the false happiness of sex life.

Generally, a common man is interested in pounds, shillings and pence, or materialistic advancement in life. Throughout the entire world, everyone is making big, big plans to adjust the miseries of the material world, and this is true at present, in the past and in the future. In this material world it is not possible to become anxiety free. A person is bound to take a lot of anxiety either for himself or his extended selves. A pure devotee, although transcendental to the material world, also takes anxiety. Let us understand:What is a devotee's anxiety?For whom he is anxious?What is the remedy?

WHO IS WITNESSING (SB 7.9.41 ) | HG SREESHA GOVIND DAS

While committing a sinful act, a person due to ignorance thinks that no one has witnessed his sinful activity. He is free to do whatever he likes. But the fact is that he is being witnessed by so many living entities at each and every step of his life which he himself cannot see. Nature's  Laws are perfect. Nobody can escape these laws unless one takes complete shelter of the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
Lets us understand:
Who all are witnesses of our every single act?
What is the cause of sinful activities?
What is real atonement?

WHY AM I DISTURBED? (SB 7.9.40) | HG SREESHA GOVIND DAS

It is said that man is a rational animal. When the rationality is missing, then he is simply an animal, not a human being. It is expected from human beings to make relevant inquiries. There is certainly a great deal of comfort in the first-class coach of a train, but if the train does not move toward its destination, what is the benefit of an air-conditioned compartment? Contemporary civilization is much too concerned with making the material body comfortable. No one has information about the real destination of life. The result is even after having so many facilities we are DISTURBED.Let us understand:-What is the Root cause of this DISTURBANCE?- How to deal with it?- What is the solution?

THE COVERED INCARNATION (SB 7.9.37-38) | HG SREESHA GOVIND DAS

The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Krishna, is known as Triyuga, which means that He is manifest in three yugas. But we have heard there are four yugas. What about the fourth one? Does the Lord not appear in Kali Yuga? Who will deliver people of Kali Yuga? Actually in the Age of Kali the Lord appears not directly but in disguise. Because the Lord is not directly perceived in Kali-yuga but is directly known in the other three yugas, His name is Triyuga. Let us understand more about this covered incarnation of the Lord.

THE FIRST CREATED BEING (SB 7.9.35-36) | SREESHA GOVIND DAS

Who was the first created being? Modern understanding is that our predecessors were less intelligent and uncultured. They were not having any scientific understanding of the world like we have today. Quite averse to this Vedas states "The first created living being is endowed with perfect knowledge and intelligence by the Lord."Let us understand:Who is this first created Being?How he takes birth?Were our predecessors less intelligent?

When we talk about Bhagavad Gita, we often hear this word "Renunciation". General understanding of Renunciation is to give up one's property, wealth, belongings etc. That is why many people shun away from Bhagavad Gita considering they have to leave everything in order to understand Gita. Srila Rūpa Gosvāmī one of the foremost Vaishnava Acharya talks about the real understanding of renunciation. As one cannot stop a blazing fire by constantly pouring ghee upon it, one cannot satisfy oneself by increasing plans for sense enjoyment want to be happy in the material world, but this will never be possible; we shall simply increase the blazing fire of desires. In order to become happy we have to follow the instructions of Lord Krishna. Otherwise in the name of happiness we will simply receive a promise of future happiness, a post dated cheque. Let us understand this

Intelligence refers to the power to analyze things in their proper perspective, and knowledge refers to understanding what is spirit and what is matter. Mind is the instrument for feeling different material experiences, but intelligence is deliberative and can change everything for the better. The intelligent person, therefore, can attain salvation from the illusion of material existence by proper use of intelligence. An intelligent person can detect the awkward position of material existence and thus begin to inquire as to what he is, why he is subjected to different kinds of miseries, and how to get rid of all miseries, and thus, by good association, an advanced intelligent person can turn towards the better life of self-realization.Let us understand some of the activities of Intelligent person.

THE WHEEL OF TIME (SB 7.9.22) | HG SREESHA GOVIND DAS

In this material world, We are being crushed by the wheel of time with sixteen spokes. At the same time, we are thinking that we are very happy. This is called māyā. This is māyā's grace, that in any condition of life, the suffering is very, very acute, but the living entity who is suffering, he thinks, "I am enjoying." This is called māyā. Illusory energy of the Lord keeps everyone always busy. A person works very very hard hoping against hope that he will be happy here some day.In order to become happy he indulges in sense gratification and 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.Let us understand how to save ourselves from the spoke of this wheel.

DEITY WHO WAS A WITNESS-STORY OF SAKSHI GOPAL JI | HG SREESHA GOVIND DAS

We cannot see spirit, and God is the Supreme Spirit. Actually, He is everything—spirit and matter—but we cannot see Him in His spiritual identity. Therefore, to show kindness toward living entitles, He appears out of His unbounded mercy in the form of a wooden or stone Deity so that we can see Him."Atheists say Deity is simply a stone but they don't know that this so-called stone can talk, walk, laugh, exchange emotions and perform wonders. For a stone hearted person Deity will always remain like a stone but for a devotee Deity can walk out of the altar.Let us understand one such lila where a Deity walked for 100 days to save his devotee's promise.

TAKING INSPIRTAION FROM THE LORD (SB 7.9.20) | HG SREESHA GOVIND DAS

The Supreme Personality of Godhead, the Supersoul within the core of everyone's heart, gives inspirations for action according to one's mentality. All of these mentalities are merely facilities given by Krishna to the person acting. Bhagavad-gitā therefore says, mattaḥ smṛtir jñānam apohanaṁ ca: [Bg. 15.15] everyone works according to the inspiration given by the Supersoul. Because everyone has a different goal of life, everyone acts differently, as guided by the Supreme Personality of Godhead.Let us understand how to take inspiration from the Lord inside the heart.

THE ULTIMATE SHELTER (SB 7.9.19) | HG SHREESHA GOVIND DAS

The Lord says in Bhagavad-gitā (9.31), kaunteya pratijānīhi na me bhaktaḥ praṇaśyati: "O son of Kunti, declare it boldly that My devotee never perishes." Therefore, unless one is protected by the mercy of the Lord, no remedial measure can act effectively. One should consequently depend fully on the causeless mercy of the Lord. Although as a matter of routine duty one must of course accept other remedial measures, no one can protect one who is neglected by the Supreme Personality of Godhead. In this material world, everyone is trying to counteract the onslaught of material nature, but everyone is ultimately fully controlled by material nature.
